nope eastern standard time pennsylvania to be precise.
I was just going to put a little basil, some butter and garlic on the pasta. I was tempted to try my brothers recipe for a shrimp bisque but decided against it. |

I swear thank god I came from were I came from. I hope my son feels the same about me as I do my parents when he is older. I know I'm probably one of the more strict parents but my job isn't to be a friend its to prepare him for life and raise him to be a well manner well spoken and educated individual. Honestly even if he hates me for being the way I am he will be a better person from it .

Our current economy forces alot of dual income families. And yes children suffer from it because learning from ones parents
can't be duplicated in any form. There are however plenty of parental controls on tvs computers .Raising a well adjusted well mannered child takes alot of hard work most people are to selfish and lazy to put out there. Parents because we are working still need to find the time to go through what our kids are reading and watching. Lazy parenting also breed lazy children. When my son wants to do something we do our chores first. When there isn't anything in my views I think he should watch we read a book play a game or sport . I limit the time he is on a computer or game console . I play the games and listen to the music and watch the shows and determine what i believe he should or shouldn't be exposed to thats parenting. It is necessary for both parents to take part and communicate what their children are doing while balancing the work load between them. If your not ready for children and the work and dedication needed to raise a family do yourself a favor keep it in your pants.

As a part of the younger generation I believe this whole topic comes to down to the selfishness of the population as whole for our younger generation. I grew up with both of my parents still together which in my generation is almost unheard of. I learned from my father and mothers values. If I got a whooping i deserved it. Our whole generation was brought up to be selfish and has totally forgotten what it means to actually give yourself to another. They have forgotten the hard work and sacrifice that goes into raising children and providing a healthy atmosphere for their families. I have suffered through plenty of heartache in giving myself to another who didn't understand what sacrifice and hard work making a relationship work are. So my stand point is this people in general need to be less selfish cause thats where 99% of the problem with normal relationships stem from.
