What gets me are these people who think THEY are better than someone else just because of what religion they believe in or, better yet, what political party they "believe" in. Biased ways like that have caused so many wars in this world it's ridiculous.

What am I having for dinner tonight? Fish taco's with refried beans or black beans and Mexican rice with sour cream, lettuce, tomatoes and chepaltay sauce. Don’t forget the ice cold beer. Wow, pretty close. Actually it's Spaghetti with portabella mushrooms, Italian sausage and garlic bread. |

In my opinion, unless you have a child, you have no idea how unselfish good parents are. I too have butted heads with a GOOD friend or two about how I don't take the time to see them as much as I used to. I have a few really close friends and out of all of them, I am the ONLY one that has a child. I cannot do what they can do. And not only can I not do it, I do NOT want to do those things all the time like I used to. It is called growing up. Amen to that!! Kids definitely grow you up real quick!! lol! And it wasn't until I had Travis that I knew what unconditional love meant. Such a blessing it is to be his mommy. :) ![]() ![]() |

just thought i would add this here..... McDONALDS APPLICATION This is an actual job application a 17-year-old boy submitted at a McDonald's fast-food establishment in Florida – and they hired him because he was so honest and funny! NAME: Greg Bulmash SEX: Not yet. Still waiting for the right person. DESIRED POSITION: Company's President or Vice President. But seriously, whatever's available. If I were in a position to be picky, I wouldn't be applying here in the first place. DESIRED SALARY: $185,000 a year plus stock options and a Michael Ovitz style severance package. If that's not possible, make an offer and we can haggle. EDUCATION: Yes. LAST POSITION HELD: Target for middle management hostility. SALARY: Less than I'm worth. MOST NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENT: My incredible collection of stolen pens and post-it notes. REASON FOR LEAVING: It sucked. HOURS AVAILABLE TO WORK: Any. PREFERRED HOURS: 1:30-3:30 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. DO YOU HAVE ANY SPECIAL SKILLS? Yes, but they're better suited to a more intimate environment. MAY WE CONTACT YOUR CURRENT EMPLOYER? If I had one, would I be here? DO YOU HAVE ANY PHYSICAL CONDITIONS THAT WOULD PROHIBIT YOU FROM LIFTING UP TO 50 LBS? Of what? DO YOU HAVE A CAR? I think the more appropriate question here would be "Do you have a car that runs?" HAVE YOU RECEIVED ANY SPECIAL AWARDS OR RECOGNITION? I may already be a winner of the Publishers Clearing house Sweepstakes. DO YOU SMOKE? On the job no, on my breaks yes. WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE DOING IN FIVE YEARS? Living in the Bahamas with a fabulously wealthy dumb sexy blonde super model who thinks I'm the greatest thing since sliced bread. Actually, I'd like to be doing that now. DO YOU CERTIFY THAT THE ABOVE IS TRUE AND COMPLETE TO THE BEST OF YOUR KNOWLEDGE? Yes – Absolutely. SIGN HERE: Aries. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Relationships at work? Oh - the work relationship. Ugh. I've done that a few times. I have to say, it's tough to tell someone NOT to do it. But let them know what complications could come out of it. I mean, let's be honest here......you are around the people you work with MORE than your family most of the time. You really do get to know some of the people you work with on a really deep personal level. Although my work relationships did NOT work, it doesn't mean they won't. Just know that if you get into one, and it doesn't work out, it could make for some very uncomfortable work days!!!! |

I had a fantastic conversation with a member about this last night, and I was shocked and thrilled we both agreed on this. I hear so much crap about 50/50, soulmates, being lonely, feeling complete, blah blah... I do not need anyone in my life. I am quite independent and capable of either doing for myself or finding a resource who can. I do not believe soulmates exist. I can not be completed by anyone. I am whole, I am in no need of completing. I believe a relationship is 100/100 and that a partner enriches and compliments my life. A person who invigorates my mind, body, and spirit, and I theirs. I want a relationship, and therefore would never take it for granted or become complacent. I'd never settle just to have someone. Anyone agree or disagree? I totally agree with this Lilith. I too, am very content with being single. Hell, I had a great time being single. When I was single, it was all about ME and all about my daughter. I didn't want that to ever go away. So I kind of got to the point where I would go out from time to time on "dates" but had NO expectations....."or at least very little".... So there I was, meeting new girl after new girl. I had some good times and some not so good times. But I knew with all of them, that they were NOT for me. I sat there and realized that there is no such thing as a soul mate. That I could get along with a bunch of different personalities and if I just didn't want to be single anymore, I would've "settled" for one of them. But I didn't. I liked being single and wanted to stay single. Then I met my current girlfriend, and her personality complimented mine. Everything was so easy with her although at the same time, I KNEW I didn't NEED her, I WANTED to be with her. She made me feel good and I had so much fun with her that I figured, let's give it a shot. Well, 7 months later, we are still together and although we have hit a bump or 2, we're still going strong because we know that neither one of us NEEDS the other one, but we WANTED each other.
