Go Heather, just be careful leaving the soap box, I just fell off mine ![]() But I agree, it is doable, not fair but doable. Thanks! My life has been far from fair thus far. But ya can't let that get ya down eh? I hear it all the time that ALL his money goes to ME. ME???? Not even! Oh, I did get 2 new shirts the other day. Yes, I guess that means I'm spending HIS money. Sigh. A man walks out on his family, leaving me looking at a cell phone bill with months of calls to his non-girlfriend (AS IF!) and yet I'm the one who's taking all his money. And yet somehow all I wish for him is happiness and the ability to get his crap together and be there for our children. People think I'm nuts, but if his happiness benefits our children, then I'm all for it. In my case, we will never agree on these issues, so I just have to give it up to god and do what I think is best. I really need to stop talking/thinking about it......gets me all riled up for nuttin! Hugs all around to those of us who struggle with these issues! |

I never had and never will have kids. I share a medical condition with all the males on my mom's side and none of them have kids either because of that I can't find the slightest shred of respect for a man who doesn't do everything and anything to tend to his kids. Being a daddy is a whole lot more than dashing off a check once a month You are so dead on. There's a mentality with some folks that as long as they are providing support money, they are indeed raising their child. BLECK! It takes a heck of a lot more than a check to successfully raise a child. I would gladly give back child support monies in return for a father that was available for his kids, physically and emotionally. As it is I work 2 jobs at weird hours so I can try to fill both roles as best I can. If I lost the child support, I would continue to do it all anyhow, just we would have to lose a few more "luxuries". But I have no doubt it could be done, because I'm committed to my kids, unlike my ex who is committed to himself at the moment. Hopefully one day he'll get back to the real world and it's not to late to salvage his relationships with his daughters. Wow, I ranted just now........SORRY! |

I tried for 14 yrs, before I left. You can never ever say you didn't give it your all then. I too tried for a lot of years.....but sometimes there is just no fixing it. I regret not having some of those years of my life back really, but I do feel that at least I gave it my all. My biggest motivator was my kids. I'll always feel bad about not being able to keep them in a 2 parent home. |

Eh, that whole term just makes me laugh.
Big Beautiful Woman.....Just because I'm big I'm automatically beautiful too? Nope. I still call myself fat and people close to me get real angry sometimes. I don't know why...I'm not using it for attention or for them to say "oh, no your not fat!"....really, I am! It's a fact, why walk around it? It's true that there is a double standard with bigger men....they don't get lumped into that category like women do. Ah well, such is life. There's bias all around and it isn't likely to stop anytime soon. Maybe I'll go eat my box of bon bons now...... ![]() KIDDING! I hope everyone has a great weekend, regardless of size.... ![]() ![]() ![]() |

It's not a stupid question at all. I believe yes you can get a virus just by previewing a message or opening it. There's some hidden script in there that can be activated once you open a message. They do suggest not using the preview pane in OE for that reason.

I was thinking the same thing. Might be just what you need to get out of your "funk". I usually try to do something for someone else when I'm feeling that way. Sounds cliche, but it does work. I'm with ya though, been feeling a little invisible myself as of late. Hope your evening turns out great!

I think we are at 3.86 or something. I feel for those people who can't even get gas. How in the world are people supposed to get to work? It's an awful situation the US is in right now.

I do not do cliques!!!! In fact I find them to be ridiculously infantile and usually full of women who like to gossip and wear the latest Lulu lemon outfits!!! I am an individual and detest cliquisms!!! ![]() I confess I had to look up Lulu lemon outfits. Yoga pants eh? It says you can wear them from the gym to dinner....hehe. Yeah, gossip sucks. When they start at work I usually bring up the nicest thing I can think of to say about whomever they are gossiping about. Usually stops 'em dead in their tracks. Usually! |

Cliques aren't restricted to schools, work, etc. They also exist in dating site forums. You see that phenom here as well. Hi snuggles....surely do. Hence the thread... ![]() |

It's been to long to think about school. But it was hippies and jocks. and I was a hippie. ![]() Yep I'm sure the categories change as the years do. We didn't have goth kids in the 80's. Schools here are trying to put an end to that though. My 5th grader isn't allowed to wear black nail polish or have any "unnatural hair color" at school. Seems a bit extreme to me, but it's the rules. |
